About
This communicative format allows me to work through varying directives within my current Master of Fine Art Research candidature, which begun at the School of Art in Dunedin, New Zealand, and currently continues at the College of Fine Arts (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia.
Primarily as a medium that allows myself to stay in contact with my two MFA supervisors, it also has the advantage of expressing, and formalizing ideas, with colleagues and other artists outside of the immediate studio environment. In a direct and informal way the intent is maintaining a cohesive and symbiotic relationship between studio praxis and the dissertation, where both coexist and inform each component within the program.
My aim has always been at allowing the visual work to function independently by supportive literature, accessible on its own terms, but informed through research and clear ideas.
This is my medium toward achieving such intent.
